Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the application under test, planning, authoring, and executing test cases.
- Conducting exploratory testing and providing in-depth analysis.
- Identifying test cases suitable for automation and automating them.
- Detecting defects, logging, and tracking them.
As a prospective candidate, you should have:
- 1–2 years of experience in Automation and Manual Testing.
- A deep understanding of software testing, including the bug life cycle, testing levels, methods, types, and estimation techniques.
- Experience or knowledge in Test automation.
- Ability to work in an agile environment.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills for bug analysis, prioritization, and test reporting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with project team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Collaboration with the development team, from reproducing reported issues to understanding bug fixes.
- Programming skills are advantageous, including coding, basic SQL knowledge, XML, general web development skills, and understanding of web services.
