Job responsibilities
Participate in designing and developing scalable, resilient systems promptly to contribute to ongoing iterative improvements for product teams. Write, comment, and unit test code to ensure the highest quality of software modules. Collaborate with teams across regions and time zones, actively engage in scrum team activities, code reviews, and other ceremonies, while contributing to task completion and blocker resolution. Handle critical and time-sensitive concurrent tasks with supervision, escalating situations appropriately. Create test cases, utilize unit and integration testing, and develop functionality along with automation. Stay updated on technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services through continuous learning. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance delivery flow across product and technology.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 3 years of practical experience
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript or Python
- Advanced skills in test automation (API and UI) using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Karate, and knowledge of continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a specific technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems
- Practical experience with cloud-native technologies

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
