Job Description
Automation QA Assurance Engineer
In this role, you will serve as a QA advocate within a team dedicated to conducting both front-end and back-end testing, with a primary emphasis on products built for Web, SaaS, and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
Performing medium-sized quality engineering assignments, mentor and support team members during project delivery. Implementing SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques. Collaborating with the team to integrate project testing into the continuous-integration process. Collaborating with team members to diagnose and resolve bugs. Offering expertise in quality engineering, test planning, and testing methodologies, staying updated on evolving QA industry processes and standards. Creating and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases. Acquiring proficiency in the fundamentals of the underlying Manufacturing domain.
Preferred Qualifications & Technical Proficiency
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
- Brings a minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing, particularly with Web or SaaS Platform-based products and SQL Server databases.
- Demonstrates at least 1 year of proficiency in managing mid-sized modules.
- Possesses expertise in building Test Automation Frameworks, with a focus on Java, Javascript/TypeScript.
- Has experience in testing web services, encompassing both SOAP and REST protocols.
- Shows competence in testing hosted or SaaS-based solutions.
- Familiarity with relational database design and a solid working knowledge of SQL for tasks such as querying, updating, and deleting data.
- Exhibits strong proficiency in functional, regression, performance, and stability testing techniques.
- Previous involvement in cross-functional development teams, showcasing the ability to influence product quality in a collaborative environment.
- Displays initiative in exploring alternative technologies and approaches to problem-solving.
- Skills include breaking down complex problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven ability in team building and effective problem-solving.
