A tech professional tragically ended their life on the TCS office campus.

On Friday afternoon, a 23-year-old employee from Kanpur, working at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Bangalore's Electronic City, tragically took his life by jumping off the ninth-floor terrace. Identified as Tushar Bhatia, he joined TCS in February and served as a technical assistant. According to police involved in the investigation, Tushar had been battling depression since being diagnosed with a kidney problem a couple of months earlier, and despite unsuccessful treatments, he recently returned to work after a 15-day leave for medical reasons.

Authorities are currently looking into the situation to understand the underlying factors behind the suicide, suspecting that health-related issues and work pressures might have played a significant role. Tushar had pursued an engineering degree in electronics from YCCE in Nagpur.

This unfortunate incident marks the second suicide of a young software engineer at a TCS campus in Bangalore. Last year, Sudarshan Guttedar, a 22-year-old from Belgaum, passed away after falling from the 11th floor at the International Technology Park. Work-related challenges were cited as one of the reasons for Sudarshan's suicide.

It's worth noting that Wipro, another information technology firm, faced a series of suicides in 2009-10, prompting the company to implement confidential employee counseling services and the "work buddy" concept. The human resources head at Wipro had emphasized the importance of providing extra support for the younger generation during that time.
